Hi everybody I'm Mike. I bumped into some of your members out in Moab, Actuallly they were renting the up stairs apartment of the condo that we were staying at. They seemed like a nice group of people so I thought I would stop in and say hi [wave]. I hope you guys had as good time as we did.

Glad you found us. Moab was a great time. We're already planning a return trip next year. We also have a second group from our club there right now.

Hi Mike,

I was supposed to be there with the group you met but was unable to make the trip. I really regret not being able to go. I'm shooting for next year.

Glad you checked in on the forum. Where ya from?

Thanks for the warm welcome guy's
I wish I was back in Moab to. Unfortunately wont be able make it back until 2011. Next year Kelly (my wife) and I are planing on going to Walker Valley ORV park in Washington state. We are also thinking about doing a short trip late summer or fall but haven't decided where yet.

THC I am from Brainerd MN. Brainerd is about 500 miles north of Lincoln and you guys are welcome to come up any time you want.

By the way your forum is pretty cool. I never seen a 4x4 forum mixed in with a Ham Radio forum before. I used to be a ham, well I still am but I haven't used my radio's in years. My call sign is W0WAA my dad is a Ham to KG9EN he hasen't used his in years either.

Detachment club in Brainerd  A cool thought, but I don't see it happening There is all ready 2 clubs in Brainerd, us LAW http://www.law4x4.com/ and the Big Dogs (Which are 50+ members strong). We try to avoid them most of the time they wheel tubed buggys with 39 inch min. boggers or swampers and big v8.

I really do like your involvment with the community it's a good Idea and It puts a positive spin on us 4 wheelers. I got one for you guys to try some time. We have been doing this 4 years now and every year it keeps getting bigger. We host a trail ride at Spider Lake http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/ohv/trail_detail.html?id=27 for Kinship Partners http://www.kinshippartners.org/ Basically we just take kids and there partner out for a day and show them what we do as for wheelers. We start about 9:00 wheel to noon and then we feed them barbaque lunch play some games then go out wheeling some more ending 3:00. The response from the kid is awesome. Kinship tells us that our run is the highlight of there summer for them. To us its just another wheeling trip but to the kids it's an adventure of a lifetime. Exspecially if you are a child with out father figure and never seen the woods before.
I dont know if you guys have a Kinship or a Big Brother in your niehborhood but it might be somthing to check out.
